The SmartCode touchpad smart lock, equipped with Home Connect technology, enables wireless communication between the lock and other devices in the home. This lock allows users to remotely check the door's lock status, lock or unlock the door, and receive notifications, all through a web-enabled device. The SmartCode is a one-touch locking motorized deadbolt, offering the convenience of keyless entry. The personalized code and the back-lit keypad provide increased visibility, making it easy to access your home. This SmartCode deadbolt is user-friendly, with simple installation, programming, and operation, and it runs on 4 AA batteries. Additionally, it features SmartKey Security as a backup keyway.

Offering the convenience of keyless entry, the latch is 20-minute fire-rated with a round corner face. The lock is compatible with Alexa for voice control, although a smart home hub, Alexa device, and hub are sold separately. However, it does not work with ZigBee or Amazon Key, and it is incompatible with Xfinity. The lock boasts full 128-bit encryption security.

Users can lock or unlock their door from anywhere, using a compatible Z-Wave smart home system and their phone or web-enabled device. The lock can be programmed with up to 30 custom, unique user access codes for family, friends, or dog walkers, allowing them to enter with the touch of a button. Additional features include optional automatic door locking after 30 seconds for added peace of mind, as well as one-touch locking.

The SmartKey Security feature protects against advanced break-in techniques and allows users to re-key the lock themselves in seconds.
