The SmartCode touchscreen smart lock with Home Connect technology allows the lock to wirelessly communicate with other devices in the home. Users can remotely check the door lock status, lock or unlock the door, and receive notifications through a web-enabled device. The SmartCode is a one-touch locking motorized deadbolt. With a personalized code, users can conveniently enter their home without a key, and the back-lit keypad provides increased visibility. The lock features patented SecureScreen™ technology to prevent code detection from fingerprints on the touchscreen.

Installing, programming, and using the SmartCode is easy, and it operates on 4 AA batteries. Additionally, the lock offers SmartKey Security as a backup keyway. This single cylinder deadbolt can be locked or unlocked using the keypad or key from the outside, as well as the turn button from the inside.

The SmartCode works with various Zigbee panels and hubs, including Amazon Echo Plus, Echo 2020 (4th Gen), Echo Show 10, SmartThings Hub v3, Tuya Zigbee 3.0 Hub, Abode, and Wink. It is also compatible with existing Zigbee HA 1.2 panels and hubs.

To ensure the right fit, users should measure their door's backset, cross bore, and thickness before purchasing the lock. The SmartCode offers up to 30 customizable user codes for family and friends, and it is BHMA Grade 2 certified for use on exterior doors where keyed entry and security are needed. The lock also features SmartKey Security, which protects against advanced break-in techniques and allows users to re-key the lock themselves in seconds.
